Missouri goes to War
How did military mobilization impact on the society of the United States of America in the First World War?
To visualize the process of rapid mobilization just before and after the declaration of war, this project works with pension records of US-Army veterans native to Missouri who served during the First World War. We analyzed about 150.000 cases with regard to the place of residence and the time of enlistement to create a time/space model with regard to the sociogepgraphic profile of draftees and the impact of mobilization on urban and rural Missouri.
